Meet Your Plano Dentist

Eunyoung Shim, DDS

Dr. Shim says that her passion is making people smile, and she’s happy to do this whether it involves providing a patient with a treatment, answering their questions, or simply listening so she can fully understand their concerns and goals. She wanted to become a dentist because it gives her the privilege to serve others and enhance their lives through education and healthcare while also forming strong, lasting relationships.

Dr. Shim began her college career at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and she went on to earn her dental degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. Today, she is an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She also regularly completes advanced training through Spear Education.

At home, Dr. Shim likes to spend quality time with her husband and two children, and she stays active by running, practicing yoga, and doing Pilates. Originally from Seoul, South Korea, she is fluent in both English and Korean!
